About UsMy name is Leigh Wizenberg and I am the owner/operator of Pawsitive Adventures. I completed the Outdoor Recreation Management Program at Capilano College where I specialized in including dogs into all outdoor activities. My two years working at a Dog Daycare that specialized in behaviour problems, overt aggression and submission, and separation anxiety, led to further coursework with Caninebridge University as a dog trainer. I moved to the Sunshine Coast 14 years ago and everytime I came home from work, my dog was waiting to go to have some fun. I started thinking that the Sunshine Coast needed some kind of service that would allow dogs to get the proper exercise they needed while owners are working or shopping. I opened Pawsitive Adventures in March of 2003. I started by taking dogs for walks in the forest and received so many referrals, I had to open a full time facility that incorporated dog socialization as well as space for proper exercise. The fenced two acres in the back gives the dogs the freedom to run and I can supervise playtime in different play areas. Pawsitive Adventures has a big family to help accommodate these four-legged friends. My partner Brad and our other employees are very helpful in giving the dogs the second family they need while parents are away. I also have some furry beasts that act like leaders of this pack. Carley who is a blue nose pit-bull and Luka is our new rottweiler and Labrador cross. Please come and meet us and be part of our family. RIP to Jessie, our border collie and Kayla, siberian husky/wolf/terrier X who both passed away May 22,2014.See our Services page for more details
